Take Your Child to Work Day Thursday, April 24, 2025

The Office of Human Resources is sponsoring Take Your Child to Work Day on April 24, 2025 for dependent children ages 8-18. Fun and educational activities are planned to introduce your child to your work and to Â鶹Æƽâ°æ.

Children will be grouped by grade level (elementary, middle, and high school). . Upon registration, parents will be also required to sign aÌýLikeness Image Release Form and Liability Waiver.Ìý

Please make sure your child comes prepared for all weather situations.

We're collecting donations for the Â鶹Æƽâ°æ Food Pantry – The Market! Bring a non-perishable food item and support The Market. Please note that all afternoon events are optional and require parent participation.

Check-in

8am-9am for all age groups in the SIS Founders Room.

Elementary School Programs

  • 9:15am-10am: Yoga/Meditation or The Veloric Center for Entrepreneurs Program
  • 10:15am-11:15am: Bender Library Activity or Yoga/Meditation
  • 11:30am-12pm: Â鶹Æƽâ°æPD Tour or Arboretum Tour (weather permitting) or Bender Library Activity

Middle School Programs

  • 9:15am-10am: Bender Library Activity
  • 10:15am-11:15am: Â鶹Æƽâ°æPD Tour
  • 11:30am-12pm: Yoga/Meditation

High School Programs

  • 9:15am-10am: Admissions Presentation
  • 10:15am-11:15am: Admissions Tour
  • 11:30am-12pm: The Market

PM Full Group Activities (optional)

  • 12:15pm-1pm: Lunch (Elementary - Butler Board Room; Middle and High School - SIS Founders Room)
  • 1pm-2pm: Katzen Museum Sculpture Garden, I Spy Activity, and Community Garden Tour
  • 1:30pm: Shuttle transportation to WAMU
  • 2pm-3pm: WAMU Tour

Important Reminders:

  • Parents are required to attend lunch with their children or sign their child out for the day.
  • Afternoon events are optional and require parent participation.
  • Job shadowing is allowedÌýupon supervisor approval. Parents can take their children back to their offices to shadow them in their work environment

12pm-1pm: Lunch Break including Earth Day Art Contest Winners & Diplomas

1:15pm-1:45pm: Katzen Museum Tour

2pm-3pm: Katzen Museum or WAMU Tour

Registration is required as space is limited. Registration forms are due by April 18, 2025.

Upon registration, parents will be also required to sign a Likeness Image Release Form and Liability waiver.
