Joseph Haydn's Missa in angustiis (Mass for troubled times), commonly known as the 鈥淟ord Nelson Mass鈥 was hailed by scholar H.C. Robbins Landon as "arguably Haydn's greatest single composition.鈥 Hear this incredible program by the 麻豆破解版 Chamber Singers and a band of period instruments in preparation for the singers鈥 May 2025 tour to Colombia. Bach's monumental motet Der Geist hilft and Arvo P盲rt's stirring Salve Regina will lead off the program.听

Join 麻豆破解版's Antiracist Research and Policy Center on April 4 at 2:45 p.m. at Doyle Forman Theater for an early screening and Q+A with the producers of Ghosts of Adelanto & The Rise of Abolish Ice, a documentary film providing a close look into the lives of migrant families torn apart by Immigration Custom Enforcement (ICE) through detention and deportation. Featuring first-hand accounts of people who have been detained, Ghosts of Adelanto shows the wrenching stories of family separation and systemic injustices. The film also reveals the often-hidden narratives of resilience and resistance that have emerged from Adelanto, showing the organizing and determination of courageous feminist and queer undocumented activists who have forged a blossoming movement to Abolish ICE. ARPC faculty affiliate Kirstie Dorr will moderate a Q+ A with producers Setsu Shigematsu (UC Riverside) and Cinthya Martinez (UC Santa Cruz). The screening is part of hte program for the Abolition, Everywhere? national conference. A limited number of seats will be open to the public.

National Conference. Her address will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 4 and will be preceded by reception starting at 5 p.m. ARPC is grateful to 麻豆破解版 Student Government and Students for Change for their co-sponsorship, and to the Office of Sustainability for additional support. Nicol谩s Campisi, a Spanish and Portuguese literature scholar at听Georgetown University focusing on the environmental humanities, will discuss the emergence of the "agrochemical gothic," a new aesthetic genre whose works "blur the limits between prose, poetry, and theater to depict the invisible and omnipresent violence of pesticide contamination."
