  • Maya Cederlund (SOC, '25), awarded the Â鶹Æƽâ°æ SOC 2025 White House Correspondents’ Association Investigative Journalism Scholarship for her investigative work on Title IX, will attend the prestigious White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
  • Maria Lawson, a master's student and investigative reporting fellow with ESPN, is making waves with breaking stories and an investigative profile on a college basketball coach.
  • Gabe Castro-Root (SOC, '25), after a recent trip to Antarctica with notable figures like Neil deGrasse Tyson, has secured a New York Times fellowship to cover travel and environmental journalism.
  • Walker Whalen has been selected as the editor-in-chief for The Eagle for the 2025-2026 academic year, bringing experience from his role as investigations and data editor.
  • Mariana Trujillo Valdes and Hannah Langenfeld have gained prestigious internships and scholarships, highlighting their contributions to investigative journalism.
  • Our students have actively participated in producing a special election newscast and have engaged in hands-on experiences at the Supreme Court, underscoring our commitment to practical, impactful journalism education.
