Oetzel’s research explores how companies can reduce business risks by promoting sustainable development and peacebuilding in the regions where they operate. She has authored over 40 publications, including articles in Strategic Management Journal, Harvard Business Review, and Journal of International Business Studies. Her book Business Adaptation to Climate Change (Cambridge University Press) examines corporate strategies for managing climate-related risks. Oetzel has received numerous awards for her research, including the Emerald Literati Award and Best Paper Awards at international conferences.
