Campus Race to Zero Waste

This spring, Â鶹Æƽâ°æ is participating in theÌýÌýa national competition between colleges andÌýuniversities to reduce waste and increase diversion rates. Throughout the eight-week competition, we will share data about how much waste our campus is generating (recycling, compost, and trash) and provide resources that you can use to help Â鶹Æƽâ°æ reduce the amount of waste being sentÌýto landfill and incineration.ÌýIf you are member of the Â鶹Æƽâ°æ community,Ìýget involvedÌýand help us reach zero waste!

Office Supply Swap with Staff Council,Ìý9 a.m.Ìý- 4 p.m., Kogod room 234

Drop off office supplies you no longer use and swap them for ones you need. We will accept and redistribute supplies likeÌýpens, markers, paper, staplers, paper clips and rubber bands, sticky notes, and storage and organization items, as well as old or unused Â鶹Æƽâ°æ merch & swag. Anything not redistributed among our campus community will be donated or recycled.

Waste audit of MGC, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., the quad (rain location is Katzen parking garage by loading dock)

Get hands-on with Â鶹Æƽâ°æ's waste stream at a waste audit of a day's waste from the Mary Graydon Center. Sort through our waste to see how much could be composted and recycled if sorted correctly, and learn about commonÌýcontaminants and waste sorting myths. PPE will be provided!

Tip off the Campus Race to Zero Waste at the annual Sustainability Awareness Basketball Game! Cheer on a year's sustainability progress and cheer on the men's basketball team as they take on Lafayette. Meet us in Bender Arena at 6pm.

E-Waste Collection Drive
EcoReps will be set up across campus to collect E-Waste such as appliances, computers, phones, cords, batteries, and more. You can find location stations at theÌýLetts-Anderson Quad, the entrances of Cassell, Hughes, and Nebraska Halls, and at the eagle statue on East Campus from 1pm-3pm and 5pm-7pm, on October 22nd-24th.
